The School of Education and Human Development at Florida International University will host the 2019 CUFA Retreat. SHED is committed to conducting high-quality research that informs practice and drives policy by serving the greater Miami region through the preparation of outstanding professionals and leaders. SHED aims to serve as a model to drive the national conversation on education.
Graduates of SHED work at Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), a large, urban school district where FIU graduates make up 35% of all teachers. FIU Alumni are doing so well in the classroom, that four of the last six M-DCPS Teachers of the Year and four of the last six M-DCPS Principals of the year were FIU graduates.
